Description

Mr. Max Burger served as Board Member at Rivr. He served as Chairman at 4-Antibody. He is the Chairman of Golien Ltd. Prior to that, he served as a Non-executive Chairman of Asia for Apax Partners and as an Associate for The Boston Consulting Group. He is the co-owner of FMCG. Burger studied business at the University of St. Gallen in 1978 and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He started his career at Dresdner Bank in Singapur. In 1980 he became Associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Munich and subsequently member of the management of the Suisse Burger Söhne AG, one of the leading companies of the European tabaco industry. In 1986 he was co-founder of the Corporate Finance Partners AG which was the basis for the current Apax-entities in Zurich, Munich and Madrid as well as Altium Capital. In 2005 he founded Apax Asia with offices in Hong Kong, Mumbai followed in 2006 and Shanghai in 2008. In the end of 2009 he left the Apax Partnership as equity partner and remained chairman until the end of 2011. From 2002 to 2003 Burger was member of the executive committee and president of the European Venture Capital Association. He serves as Board Member at Simplaex.
