Tekes was a venture capital firm which sought to provide funding to business development projects, scientific research organizations and public service providers. The firm sought to invest in companies based in Finland in their seed and early stages. It was founded in 1983 and is based in Helsinki, Finland. As of January 1st, 2018 Finpro - the Finnish trade promotion organization - and Tekes merged and is now formally known as Business Finland.
