Mr. Michael Moritz serves as Partner & Chairman at Sequoia Capital. He previously served as Board Member at Instacart. He was a Board Member at Flipagram. He joined LinkedIn's board of directors in January 2011. Sir Michael has been a Managing Member of venture capital firm Sequoia Capital since 1986, and has served as Sequoia Capital's chair since 2012. He currently serves on the board of directors for a number of public and private companies, including Stripe, Green Dot Corporation, Sugar, Klarna AB, and 24/7 Customer. Previously, he was a member of the board of directors at various public companies, including Google, PayPal, Red Envelope, Saba Software, Flextronics, Yahoo!, and Zappos. Sir Michael holds an M.A. in Modern History from the University of Oxford. He is a venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital focusing on software and services investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1986, he served on the boards of Flextronics International, Google, Yahoo! and PayPal. He is the co-founder of Technologic Partners, a publications and events firm that was acquired by Dow Jones & Company. He was also the former Bureau Chief of Times, San Francisco. He also serves as a board member at Luxim Corporation, Magic and PopSugar. He is an Angel Investor. He holds others degrees from Wharton School and the University of Oxford.
