VC-backed companies that just received funding

  1. Start a company search by clicking on the Companies & Deals icon on the left-hand side of the platform’s home screen.
  2. Hovering over the Companies & Deals Screeners, select VC-backed companies from the menu.
  3. To narrow your search, select Deal Criteria; zero in on companies that have received funding within a certain timeframe by adjusting the Custom Dates. Then select only the most recent transaction at the bottom of the page.
  4. Adjust selections to narrow or widen the search by customizing Deal Status.
  5. Run the search for a list of VC-backed companies that just received funding.
  6. Under Quick Stats click on Companies or Deals to view a list of relevant transactions.

VC and PE-backed companies within a specific industry

  1. As an example, let’s create a list of VC and PE-backed healthcare companies.
  2. Using our natural language search tool, type in VC and PE-backed companies in healthcare in the search box on the platform’s home page.
  3. To further define your universe, click on Modify All Criteria, which will take you to the Companies & Deals Screener.
  4. Narrow selections to find companies based on series or funding rounds by adjusting the Deal Date, Deal Type, Deal Status, and more to fit your criteria.
  5. Let’s select VC-backed companies that have received early-stage financing from Q3 2022 to Q4 2023.
  6. Run the search for a list of VC-backed healthcare companies.

How to identify and connect with GPs

  1. Start a people search by clicking on browser icon on the left-hand side of the platform’s home screen and hovering over people.
  2. Hovering over the people search option, select MDs and Managing Partners at GPs from the menu.
  3. To narrow the preselected firm types, use the firm type dropdown menu and adjust types to narrow or widen a search (for example, you may only want to look at professionals from family offices).
  4. To further narrow results, specify the person’s location or university they attended.
  5. Run the search for a list of MDs and Managing Partners at GPs.
  6. Click on the search results to learn more about each person and their work experience.
