The 6 most active VC investors in insurtech startups

Global investment activity in the insurtech industry, which consists of companies using technology to automate or speed up the insurance process, has risen dramatically since the beginning of the decade: VC investors backed barely a handful of deals in the space in 2010 but are up to 57 so far this year, per the PitchBook Platform.

The majority of those deals (56.5%) have been for early-stage startups, with 28% going toward seed-stage transactions. And more than half of the investments have been made in US-based companies, while 28% have been funneled to startups in Europe.
