Founded in 1997, Ares Management is a global alternative asset manager and SEC-registered investment adviser. The firm pursues investment activities in leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, private debt, private equity, and other types of investments. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles, California with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Ares Management is made up of three different platforms, which are, Ares Private Equity Group, Ares Private Debt Group, and Cares Capital Markets Group. Ares Private Equity Group pursues opportunistic majority or shared-control investments in under-capitalized middle-market companies. Ares Private Debt Group, comprised of Ares Capital Corporation and Ares Capital Europe, provides integrated private debt and non-control equity financing solutions to the middle market. Ares Capital Markets Group invests in tradable securities, including broadly syndicated leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, and other fixed-income investments. The firm caters to industries such as rail, publishing, printing services, road, office services, and many others.
