Uber SVP of engineering Amit Singhal has reportedly stepped down after the company was alerted to sexual harassment claims made against Singhal when he was at Google, allegations that led to his resignation from the search giant, per Recode. The ride-hailing company was reportedly unaware of the events that led to him leaving Google until Recode informed them of such. Singhal joined Uber just one month ago after spending 15 years at Google as a leader in its search division before announcing his resignation last February.
